The Importance of Promoting your Web Site
to your Art Show Viewers

"If you build it, they will come" (not unless they know it's there)

A web site is nothing more then a sales tool, like your booth at an art show. It's a venue to market your work. Both are as successful as the promotion that goes into them.
There are two basic differences between the two.
The art show management is responsible for the promotion that results in attendance which leads to potential sales. With your web site, you are responsible for the promotion which leads to web site visitors which results in potential web site sales.
Your art show space is confined to a ten foot square area, which has to contain your art work, a way in which to display it, and your viewers. Your web site space can be like an unlimited size, blank canvas, waiting for you to creatively fill it.

These are the tools that I use to promote my own
Web Site www.BermanArt.com which averages a sale a week.

Capture the NAMES and E-MAIL ADDRESSES
of everyone that's interested in your art

E-mail capture form
Download our e-mail capture form

We have created an e-mail capture form, which can hang in your booth. You want the names and e-mail addresses of everybody that's interested in your art work, not just the people who purchase.
We use a program called WorldMerge (PC only) which allows you to quickly and easily generate large numbers of personalized e-mail messages using your "internet-ready" database of recipients and a "template" e-mail message. It also enables you to address each recipient by their first name so they don't realize the message is coming from an automated program. As with any e-mail message you send, it could include hyperlinks to specific pages on your web site.
