uses his painting skills to create his art entirely on the computer. He
uses Painter software for painting these images directly into his
Macintosh G4 with 1Gb of RAM and use a relatively inexpensive drawing
tablet called an Acecad Flair for drawing. It is pressure sensitive like a
Wacom tablet, but at 1/4th the price. He bought it on eBay auction for
about $50. He uses a big 22-inch Apple flat panel display, which makes it
easier to work on large images. He uses an Epson 2000P and prints on a
German watercolor paper called Hannehuehle Torchon 285 which he gets from
DigitalArtSupplies, a company he found that has been very responsive to
his needs. He also gets the standard Epson pigment-based ink set from
them. All but the triptych is available as a Limited Edition Digital Epson
Print in four sizes: 18x24, 12x16, 8x10 and 4x5. The triptych, "Suspicious
Suiters" is available as a Limited Edition Digital Epson Print in two
sizes, 36x40 inches and 18x24 inches. The larger size is printed on canvas
as a triptych. |
