"Here I am reporting back on Larry's offer to scan my etchings to try out
his new scanner. The results are astounding. Detail, color, even the
texture of the paper is there. I sent a piece that I presently use for
jury into shows that still use slides, along with a slide of it to
compare. There is no paper texture in my slide using 35m film but there is
in Larry's image. I can see great possibilities with this new scanner, not
to mention having to take multiple images and piecing them together of
very large work. My etchings were 9"h X 11 3/4" w. It would be worth it to
have work scanned and then turned into slides with this scanner I would
think. Thanks, Larry for the successful experiment. The scan of my
new piece "This Abandoned Place" that I sent also came out great too.
